About PTO Shafts
PTO shaft is a rotating body with high speed and less support, so its dynamic balance is very important. Generally, the transmission shaft should be tested before leaving the factory and adjusted on the balancing machine. For the front engine rear wheel drive car, it is to transmit the rotation of the transmission to the shaft of the main reducer. It can be several joints, and the joints can be connected by universal joints.
PTO Drive shaft
The PTO drive shaft, whose full name is power take-off drive shaft, is a mechanical means of transferring rotational power and torque from the engine(usually via the transmission) between your tractor and implement or attachment.

The PTO shaft is an important part in the transmission system of automobile. The function of PTO shaft is to transfer the power of the engine to the wheels together with the gearbox and drive axle, so that the automobile can produce driving force.

TYPES of PTO shafts
According to elasticity，PTO shaft can be classified by its important part, universal joint. According to whether the universal joint has obvious elasticity in the direction of torsion, the PTO shaft can be divided into rigid universal joint drive shaft and flexible universal joint drive shaft.
- PTO shaft with rigid universal joint transmits power by hinge connection of parts.
- PTO drive shaft with flexible universal joint transmits power by elastic parts and has the function of buffering and damping.
PTO Shaft STRUCTURE
The PTO shaft is composed of shaft tube, telescopic sleeve and universal joint. The telescopic sleeve can automatically adjust the change of the distance between the transmission and the drive axle. Universal joint of PTO shaft is to ensure the change of the angle between the transmission output shaft and the drive axle input shaft, and realize the equal angular speed transmission of the two shafts
